Made In The Shade Flyer - 25th October 2008

Had a very good day at the Glasgow Craft Mafia market yesterday - a good turn out and lots of people who were mad keen on the emobroidery!  Thanks to everyone who came along and purchased their own hand-stitched delights to take home.

That great day though means that I'm feverishly working away for the next event which is, as the picture suggests, Made In The Shade.  It's going to be an exciting event, especially for me as I missed the last one, being in Bangkok at the time.   The event got a great write up in the Sunday Times today, including a paragraph about Miso Funky!  Click here to read the whole article.

As if I am some sort of glutton for punishment, I'll also be at the Say No To Plastic event on the Sunday (26th October) at Glasgow's Oran Mor.  Organised by XFM's Heather Suttie, the event will raise awareness of the importance of recycling and give you a chance to buy some great vintage, second-hand and handmade items!  Tickets are just £5 with proceeds going to NCH.  Find out more at the website.

There's plenty of other opportunities coming up, of course, for real-life shopping from Miso Funky.   Just keep your eyes trained on the Events page for more info.
