Our Philosophy

Cross stitch ain't rocket science.
It's easy to learn and fun to do. It relaxes your mind and you can take it anywhere. It's a traditional decorative craft which looks great anywhere.
It's simple.
That's why our philosophy is to keep things as simple as possible - life is difficult enough.
Our designs aren't intricate, fussy and contrived. They're straight to the point, stylish and clever.
Our kits aren't hard to follow or filled with jargon. They bend the rules a little to make it as easy as possible for anyone to have a go. They're your gateway into the wonderful world of needlework.
We give you the fruits of our labours and let you enjoy them and bask in the admiration of all who survey them. We think we do a pretty good job, if we do say so ourselves. See what our customers think here.
More About Us
Miso Funky is operated by Claire Brown, Glasgow-based professional needle-slinger and word-wrangler.
Dreamt up in 2005, Miso Funky has been providing fine stitching since then in one guise or another.
Featured in illustrious tomes such as the Sunday Times Style Magazine, The Guardian, Good Housekeeping and San Francisco Examiner, as well as on UKTV, Channel 4 and many more media outlets, we design and make quirky, offbeat homewares and accessories and bring a whole new modern angle on cross stitch kits and charts.
For those looking for something unique, you've come to the right place. If our designs don't quite hit the mark, we offer a custom-made section, where we can work with you to create artwork to your specifications.
Miso Funky offers a tongue-in-cheek injection of unconventionality to homes around the world. Let yours be one of them.
